Automatic Deformation Monitoring System
Commonly known as ADMS. The methodlogy makes use of technology borrowed from land survey practices by using instrument such as the Robotic Total Station and Target Prisms. The purpose is to monitor structural displacement and can be used in various situation such as Tunnel Monitoring, Bridge Monitoring, Building Inclination and Excavation Wall Monitoring. Along with globally established brand of instruments, we developed the system for robust 24 x 7 eyes at the site so that clients rest assure.
How does the system work? In land survey, points is measured from the Total Station. To measure the target, vertical angle, horizontal angle and distance must be captured for calculation. From a known 3D coordinate, you will be able to calculate the target's coordinate using simple geometry. Comparing the target's coordinate with previous result in displacement. Here is where the simplicity ends. The system is fully automated. With non human intervention, it can be use within working tunnels. Each target is read and sent automatically. The automated processing uses 7 parameters of Least Square Adjusment for calculation where displacements can be viewed online. The system will also send notification of values above threshold, via SMS to relavant personnel.
