Online Inclinometers, Piezometers and Water Stand Pipe
These are Geotechnical Instruments. Traditionally, installed underneath ground level. These instruments are monitored manually. More geotechnical engineers have come to appreciate the use of real-time instruments where data sampling can be as fast as 5 mins. In crucial monitoring like tunneling and slope stability monitoring. Real-time instruments become more apparent as sometimes structural or geotechnical failures are just hours away.As labour increases steadily, and technology advances leap frog, it is also good business sense to recover cost from advancement.

How does it work? Inclinometers, ABS casings are installed into a drilled hole right up to strong datum. Tilt sensors of 3 m long are continuously link from datum to ground level. Bi-directional soil displacement is captured electrically and converted into mm deflection. Piezometers and Water Stand Pipe uses the vibrating wire sensors to determine 'Point Pore Water' and 'Water Table' changes. The 2 main factors for ground movement. These instruments are installed within drilled holes. Water stand pipe uses PVC casing with perforated filter holes. All 3 instruments are hook up to a wireless and programmable data looger for measurement and transmission. Other uses for these instruments are Soil Consolidation, Deep Excavation Temporary Works, Tunneling, Deep Level Subsidence, Slip Circle Failure and others. Transmitted data is viewed online and alarms raised via SMS.
